Ecosystem-based adaptation and community resilience.

LCMF intends to explore community-designed ecosystem activities that strengthen resilience while protecting local landscapes and supporting livelihoods.

Potential interventions

  • Assessment of local water stress, soil degradation and tree-cover challenges
  • Suitable native or locally recommended tree growing with aftercare
  • Soil and water conservation learning
  • Climate risk preparedness and nature-based solutions with technical partners
  • Schools and youth engagement in environmental stewardship

Prerequisites

Sites and activities will require community support, tenure and access checks where relevant, technical input, inclusion safeguards, maintenance plans and a costed proposal. No funded or completed adaptation work is implied at this stage.

Safeguarding and accountability: LCMF seeks transparent participant selection, safe referral processes, appropriate consent, confidentiality, inclusive access and documented financial controls. Specialist services will be referred to qualified institutions.

Let’s build lasting progress together.
